When is the trip?
November 15-27, 2014
What is the cost of the trip?
Approximately $3,300-3,600 (includes all expenses except personal purchases, one meal while sightseeing and food while traveling to and from Cape Town)
What are the deadlines?
A nonrefundable deposit of $400 is needed by September 1, 2014. The total balance is due November 1, 2014.
What we will be doing in South Africa?
The team will be taking the joy of Christmas to the poorest of the poor. We will serve with Extreme Response partners in Cape Town (Living Hope) and Beaufort West, helping host several Christmas parties. We will be providing gifts and food, leading games, painting faces, making crafts and giving lots of hugs!
Do I need a passport?
Yes, a passport is required for all travel outside the U.S. If you don't have one, please apply for it ASAP.
Do I need shots?
No vaccines are required, but the CDC does recommend a couple of vaccinations when traveling to South Africa - http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/traveler/none/south-africa.
Who can go?
You must be 16 years of age and in good health. If you have a particular health issue, please contact us to see if we will be able to accommodate you.
Is it safe?
Yes. We are flying reputable airlines and staying in accommodations with a trusted partner.
What if I've never been on a mission trip?
Then it's a perfect trip for you! Whether it's your first or tenth time, this is a trip for everyone.
Will I have to speak in front of crowds?
Although the opportunity may present itself, no one will be forced to share.
Will we be able to go sightseeing?
Yes! Our plans are to stay one night at a game reserve (included in price)! We'll also have other times where we will go shopping and such.
