Graystone is not a “traditional church,” but we do have traditions. One of our annual traditions is Jersey Day. It’s a day that EVERYONE (literally EVERYONE) wears their favorite sports jersey. But it’s not just a day to wear a jersey and show pride in your favorite team. It is one of the best Sundays of the year to invite a friend or teammate to church. In fact, that’s why we started Jersey Day and that’s why we are going over the top in 2015 with Jersey Day. It’s a great opportunity to invite our friends to church!
It’s pretty simple. Whatever sport you are playing or your kids are playing, invite your teammates and their family to church. The team with the highest percentage of players present wins a FREE pizza party. Also, we will be grilling out hotdogs and if we can pull a few strings, even Bubba’s Nuts, the word’s best boiled peanuts, will be there. The Graystone Kids are planning some special games and events for the kiddos.
Jersey Day is so much more than simply wearing your favorite jersey to church. It’s an easy opportunity for you to reach out to your friends, family and teammates and invite the ONE person whose life you want to see changed for all eternity!
Who are you bringing?
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?”
